I think, there's no need to split the list.

I'm surely a exim newbie, exim gracefully handles most of the job without my
help.
From my point of view, the newbie problem is another (it's the second time I
joined the list to get help on specific topics- and I found help).

The list suffers from a wide spreaded admin-disease "I'm a professional, the
others are amateurs".

In my opinion, the most instructive help comes from code-examples (parts of
the config). The more extensive, the better.

I can't find much questioners, who didn't look the FAQs, archives, docs,
examples.
Somebody who asked, couldn't find help there before.

So, answers like:'Use the foo_acl as written in the specs' won't help here.
Exim is too complex, as every process depends on the preceding ones.

If you overlook the last time conversations, config parts are sparely
posted. Every time, examples are posted, they immediately get a lot of
answers- most of them in the kind of 'You shouldn't do this, because...'
without a better example. Just a short snap.

The original poster is outed as an amateur, the professionals found it at
the first glance. Not that helpful...

If you split the list, newbies are away from the skillful, and the pros get
bored on their own list, nobody has the guts to ask.

As most of the list members are admins (how many hobbyists run there own
MTA?), this list should spread the wisdom without any thoughts of
concurrence. The world is big enough for a huge amount of well educatd
admins, which give the noneternal users the feeling, their business depends
on them.
