Sounds like the problem isn't with your queue, but either the type of
email addresses you are using or perhaps how your mailserver is configured
(IP, DNS, PTR, possible listing on a black list etc)...

Good email addresses and a properly configured mail server should not have
a lot of mail queued up on it.

If you are hosting a bunch of mailing lists, the blocks will be more
severe since many ISP's are wary of large numbers of messages for large
numbers of users. Some places like Earthlink and AOL may never accept
your mail if you are not properly setup.

What types of errors are you getting for those that can't be delivered,
what type of debugging have you tried to see why they won't be delivered.

Being in the mailing list business is a lot of work... its not like it
used to be...
