AFAIK not wishlisted, but currently on my private todo-list.

And takes much load from exim, the current maildir-quota support of exim
is a real problem on big maildirs (3 Gig here)

Depends on your needs, fs-quotas will perform well, even on bigger
maildir, but are harder to manage (IMHO).

If you don't know the size of the system, and imap-folders, you really
should use maildir++ quotas and an exim-patch. With low quotas, and low
traffic, the current exim implemantation will do well.

Using an external MDA could increase the load on the system, and is IMO
something that should be avoided at all cost.
