Subject: RE: [Exim] FWD: Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender
Yes but if the ISP insists it will only relay mail for addresses using
its own domain name ie blah@??? then it is not much use if a
member of staff wishes to send an important email from home and it needs
to come from a University formal email address ie blah@???. So
we have no choice but to get that person to connect to our mail server
where we have configured it to allow them (and only them) to send email
through. The we have to set up our config to ignore the fact that they
are on a rbl. We use the following to ignore email that is only on the
DUL on no other list.

warn    message = X-Warning: $sender_host_address is in a blocklist \
                        at $dnslist_domain                 log_message =
found in blocklist $dnslist_domain dnslists =
list.dsbl.org:sbl.spamhaus.org:relays.ordb.org
                set acl_c9 = yes

warn    message = X-Warning: $sender_host_address is in a blocklist \
                        at $dnslist_domain
                log_message = found in blocklist $dnslist_domain
                condition = ${if eq{$acl_c9}{yes}{no}{yes}}
                dnslists = rbl-plus.mail-abuse.ja.net
                !dnslists = rbl-plus.mail-abuse.ja.net=127.1.0.2
