Tsk tsk...
Try 230,000 per hour sustained over 5 minutes, 170,000 per hour
sustained over an hour. That's off one dual-CPU 1GHz 1GB RAM host with
4 15Krpm LVD drives, each hanging off one of the 4 controllers on a Mylex
eXtremeRAID 2000. :-)
Of course, you have to tell Exim not to fsync, and you need decent
storage and solid connectivity. But the point is that Exim can be made
to perform well.
