Just built it on my dual PIII here, RH 7.2 with stock gcc, with no problems.

However, the gcc reports as being from rh71 !? Box was a fresh 7.2 install
however:

[tom@foobar tom]$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/specs
gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-98)
[tom@foobar tom]$ cat /etc/issue
Red Hat Linux release 7.2 (Enigma)
Kernel \r on an \m

[tom@foobar tom]$

/tom
