Yes, but is newaliases actually calling Exim? Turn on log_arguments,
and why I type newaliases it appears in the log. If Exim doesn't log
that, it is clearly nowt to do with Exim. From the log message you
quote, I suspect Exim isn't hearing you say `newaliases'.
