Richard, if you are working with Linux, this extra line is on the
OS/Makefile-Linux file, indeed I make a copy of this file under Local
subdirectory and modify this file with:
USE_DB=yes
DBMLIB=-ldb
the same as you.
I'm running exim on a Debian Linux Box with db-1.85. I just had a problem
to build exim, I had to make a symbolic link of db.h which is under
/usr/include/db instead of /usr/include, as it is expected to be.
