[pcre-dev] New API for PCRE

Since I have no real emotional investment in the old API (I'm new here) I vote for Option 1.

A performant option to disable recursive calls I hope gets a look along with C++ Builder 2007 compatibility. However, I think what is best for the PCRE developers should define this new API. You'll be maintaining, at least in the part, the old API so don't short change yourself with the new direction.
