?? But your MUA should be able to do either, both, and a few other
things anyway. (offline searches, filter by subject, person posting,
tags, phrase-in-body..)
I've got the last 19,000+ Exim posts in SeaMonkey for much easier/more
complex searching than online. Another 30-40,000 Exim from prior years,
are on-box by just switching profile if I need to search them.
No effort. Just a bit of disk space, and not a great deal of that.
Speaking here of SeaMonkey/Mozilla Suite and relatives, also true of
Opera Mail, PowerMail, Sylpheed/Claws mail..
I'm not aware of any 'modern' MUA that does NOT have at least optional
threaded/unread/new/ - whatever.. view choices.
