It might make it harder for the person to harvest new users or lurkers
who haven't posted here yet? (Unless, of course, the names are
harvested from a public web mirror.)
Anyhow, I wonder if it's a cultural problem, because I've received four
such unsolicited emails which weren't even replies over the last few
months, and all of them were from Indian individuals, all pretty much
requesting someone else to collect everything they know about a subject
and send it to them. Anyone from India here who can say whether this is
common or acceptable practise in India, or whether it's just a
coincidence?
