Wouldn't use Fedora as the update cycle is too much (every 3 months) and
I've lots of problems with busy filesystem problems on FC - ie FC is not an
enterprise solution, too bleeding edge.

I'd say Debian, the apt-get system is more ports like but suse ia a good
alternative.

Out of interest why not FreeBSD?

Subject: [exim] which linux for exim

I am going run a server on a virtual hosting facility and am forced
to use some flavour of Linux.
The options are:

- Linux Fedora
- Debian 3.1
- SuSE Linux 9.2

which one in your opinion is easier to configure the usual (for me)
way as I am used to install packages with configure (if required, not
the case of exim) and then make, etc. I must say that I am not
impressed by the number of problems raised on this list in the past
by Debian users, but does that just mean that Debian is popular or
that they used outdated packages...?

My personal preference would have been FreeBSD as I have some
experience with it (and indirectly as a MacOSX administrator). If
anyone has knowledge of a virtual hosting facility in Italy
supporting it please email me off list.

Thanks

Giuliano
