Hi,
to answer a question in the wishlist:
| (146) 15-May-2000 M Allow SMTP error codes in retry rules
|
| This would allow special handling of certain errors from certain hosts. In
| particular, it would allow failing of certain 4xx codes.
|
| This is now available for 4xx responses to RCPT commands. Is anything more
| needed?
It seems that I need the same for the MAIL command. Some neighbouring hosts
(using sendmail) answer like this:
SMTP>> MAIL FROM:<username@???> SIZE=1234
SMTP<< 451 4.0.0 Sender domain must resolve
Lowering the retry time for this type of messages would be a nice thing. So
what I'm missing is "mail_4xx" in analogy to the implemented "rcpt_4xx",
like this:
begin retry
neighbouring.doma.in rcpt_450 F,12h,15m
neighbouring.doma.in mail_451 F,12h,15m
