i'll offer mine.

the problem that Sender ID has with the GPL is not unique to the GPL; the M$
proposed licensing of Sender ID is incompatible with all true "open source" licenses,
including BSD, the GPL, and most if not all of the artistic licenses.

the issue is right to redistribute. BSD, the GPL, and artistic licenses place no
restriction on redistribution. M$ is insisting that each _user_ (that is, sysadmin/mail
admin/owner of server(s)) of Sender ID register with M$ for permission to use
Sender ID.

i can't imagine that any responsible author of Open Source software would include
something with those conditions.
