Just to be clear here, SPF was initially a motion independent
of AOL. AOL has embraced the effort as they see the benefit.

I have published SPF records for my domains. One of the
members here has published drop-in ACLs as well.

Caveat forwarding, though, in the current version.
That will take extra work, perhaps, if it is needed.

I believe there are graphs of "SPF Records Published over Time"
available to help answer the "how widely accepted will it get?"
question.
