True. But there are many of us who copy others files simply because if an expert has worked out a good solution, what is the point of someone with less experience wasting time trying to invent a similiar solution. I have a .muttrc, smb.conf, exim.conf, .bash_profile, /etc/profile all of which are well beyond what I would achive by rtfm.

Problem comes when you what you've copied is not a good solution as in the example above.
