That analogy doesn't really hold... and if you were to look in the
control room of your nearest nuclear plant, you would see GUIs.
What would you prefer: someone fat-fingering the conf file that controls
the fuel rod hoisting mechanism, or a well thought out GUI that guides
the operator, so that mistakes are minimised?
Anyway, there's more to GUIs than configuring... they are actually quite
useful for monitoring and ongoing management (viz. Eximon).
