Ah, just a minute, had you got a line in inetd.conf for smtp and were
then trying to run Exim as a daemon? In that case the inetd binds to
port 25 and Exim cn't get at it. Just remove the line in inetd.conf
completely, or comment it out, kill -HUP your inetd and try Exim
again.
