Subject: [Exim] Odd reject question.
One of my users has a mail forwarding account that gets moved to pointing
at wherever she is collecting mail - currently one of my machines.

This case is some mail sent from moek.pir.net, Cc:ed to the forwarding
address. Eventually it came back to moek and was rejected on a bad sender.

I don't understand why ... this machine has pir.net as a local domain
and is also an authorative name server for pir.net. I can't think of
any reason for this to happen.

This (with different users) has happened before but I didn't find time
to really look at it.

Exim version 3.11, running on Solaris 2.6.
I have;
headers_sender_verify = true
headers_sender_verify_errmsg = false
sender_try_verify = true
receiver_try_verify = true
headers_check_syntax = true
sender_verify_fixup = true
sender_verify_reject = true
headers_checks_fail = true

since I want to be fairly paranoid but not _completely_ paranoid (the fixup).

Anyone got clues ? I'm assuming this got in eventually and assuming
the "try later" means a temp fail and it was ok when retried later
but I don't see why it was rejected at all.

P.
