Not sure its related but when I used nslookup to check this I got a
non-authoritative answer:

Server: ns.toc.ixl.com
Address: 216.99.0.132

Non-authoritative answer:
srvntsxconn1.toc.ixl.com        internet address = 216.99.0.136


Perhaps exim wants an authoritative one?
