I finally had to more or less butcher an Ultrix 4.4 machine in order
to get it to work. I built it using gcc-2.6.3; changes occurred with
gcc between the 2.6.3 and 2.7.2 releases that made it impossible to
build Exim 1.92 without serious coding time (something I just don't
have at the moment. Plus it just didn't seem worth it for an OS I'm
trying desperately to move away from.)
Good luck. When I get a moment, I'll try to find my notes for the
build.
