If not 1.61, you may be suffering from a bug that was fixed. It looks as
if Exim is crashing before completing its delivery run. One thing you
could try is deleting the spool/db/* hint files - corruption of those
files was causing crashes; the bug fix is supposed to stop the
corruption in the first place (and other changes were made to lessen the
effects of a crash.)
