Indeed -- users should use *ADDRESSES* not *ROUTES*.

However, us postmasters with sender_verify sometimes need to use source routes
to get to mailboxes which are not DNS registered .. :-((
One can always telnet to port 25 of the first hop, but using ones normal MUA
is simpler ...
