Buildfarm animal 'verily', our sole Solaris system, is getting run
failures. Last good was 3e82d28; first bad 845a3ce. The annoying
thing is that the "make" output appears good.

Possible candidates from 845a3ce:
- assert(0) in hash.c
- os_getcwd() in readconf.c


Any other users of Solaris out there willing to test?
