I use several checks including these (written to run on Exim 4.63 on
Centos 5 and also works on Exim 4.84_2 on Centos 6)

Missing HELO

condition     = ${if eq{$sender_helo_name}{}}

IMPERSONATING

   condition     = ${if
eq{$sender_helo_name}{$interface_address}{yes}{no}}

SQUARE BRACKETS IN HELO

  condition     = ${if match{$sender_helo_name}{[\[|\]]} }
