The protocol isn't no. Hence why you specify which IP addresses to trust in the
"proxy_protocol_hosts" configuration option. When using Amazons ELB or any
other HA-Proxy based system, you'd trust the IP addresses of the load balancers
and no others, to declare Proxy Protocol addresses.
