I've now had a quick look at your patched 8.33 files. Given that we are
planning on changing the way that custom memory management functions are
handled in the new API, I don't think it is worth doing anything about them
now. What I think might perhaps be useful is to make sure that
PCRE_CALL_CONVENTION is in place in all the places where it is missing. In the
new API we should consider defining a macro to generate function definition
lines, so this kind of omission doesn't happen. (Actually, a macro to generate
8, 16, and 32-bit names is probably going to happen, so that will take care of
it.) What do you think?
