                CC: exim-dev@???, jgh146exb@???

0240 trips on the ls -l output "drwxrwsrwt."

The trailing dot is permitted by SUSv3: space for no alternate
or additional access method control, otherwise, a printable character.

GNU 'ls' uses a `.' character to indicate a file with an SELinux
security context, but no other alternate access method.
ACLs get marked with a '+'.

MacOS uses '@' for "extended metadata".
