Author: Ian Cameron Date: To: exim-users Subject: [exim] Rewriting address phrases
Hi,
I have unfortunately started having to use an Exchange server to send and
receive email. I'm collecting email with fetchmail, delivered via exim on my
desktop.
The problem is that Exchange doesn't quote phrase parts correctly in various
headers such as From:, To: and Cc:. For example:
A.N.Other <A.N.Other@???>
instead of:
"A.N.Other" <A.N.Other@???>
It's driving me mad! I've been looking at the exim documentation and
conducted various searches, but have so far drawn a blank on this.
I wouldn't be bothered about it, but my MUA complains when I attempt to reply
to emails where this is the case.
Can anyone give me some pointers on whether exim can transform the phrase from
unquoted to quoted and how I might be able to go about it?
Thanks.
