For clarity: you're trying to use the Sun-specific LDAP libraries, which I
believe predate OpenLDAP, instead of OpenLDAP, yes?
Do you have an available fix?
As far as I'm aware, none of the maintainers are using Solaris, so compilation
issues with their OS-specific LDAP libraries will be hard to test against. A
quick look suggests that no free variants for use in VM images are available.
When I check
https://www.illumos.org/ and use their search box to search for
LDAP, I see references to OpenLDAP. The recommended developer distribution
appears to be OpenIndiana, checking their site I see more references which
imply OpenLDAP.
If you can confirm that you explicitly do mean to use the Solaris-specific LDAP
libraries, rather than OpenLDAP on Solaris, then I can look at installing
OpenIndiana and taking a look.
