Exim does not use a particular mechanism. Filters may be stored in
files or retrieved by lookups. If your server uses anything that may
be addressed by a lookup (like LDAP or the various DB query methods),
Exim can use it. Exim does require the line "# sieve filter" at the
top, but the lookup may prepend that, and it requires NL separated lines
(Unix environment), not CRLF. You can change that with a string operation
after the lookup, should your server store filters in wire format.
