Flamewars aside: I found the spec on this subject a little unclear. If the
consensus is that the spec is unclear, IMO it should be updated. However it
can only be updated by someone who knows what Exim actually /does/.
Therefore:
(a) Does the spec need to be updated in this area?
(b) If so, can someone please confirm what variables are available?
