I know the definition of spam thanks :-) . The "collateral" spam being
refered to in this thread is mail sent from forged addresses (on the
incoming) - so yes it IS spam if you reply to it as it was neither requested
OR wanted.

I don't know that offhand but as long as it only sends to known contacts
then yes it would be ok to use.
