IMHO that's incorrect.
Every domain that IS USED for smtp transport needs to have a postmaster
account.
That's a requirement of the mail rfcs.
AND that all does not require MX records. If they are absent, A records are
used.
However every domain must have a adminitrative account listed in it's soa
record, that must accept mails. But it does not have to be in the same
domain.

Which will be as bad.
Either accept them and read them or don't accept them.
Did you set up MX records for all those domains pointing to your exim?
