Which IMAP/POP server are you using or planning to use? There is a very good
IMAP/POP server called Dovecot (www.dovecot.org) that can be made to
cooperate nicely with Exim.

You can probably get better help from the vexim mailing list(s). But have you
created a MySQL account for vexim and run the installation script or whatever
creates the vexim database? Perhaps you need to enter the MySQL password "@
[]".

An advantage of *not* using vexim, cPanel or similar front-end products,
instead rolling your own database setup and Exim config, is that you [have
to] learn better how the Exim configuration works and therefore can ask
better questions here. With those front-ends you typically can't go in and
tweak the Exim config too much or you will break the functionality of the
front-end. And a majority of the people on this list probably use neither
cPanel nor vexim and thus can't tell how you're supposed to use them or how
they interact with Exim without downloading the respective product.

The peril of using proprietary software in the first place... :-/ Vendor
lock-in is Microsoft's favourite game.

According to http://www.netproject.com/docs/migoss/v1.0/windows-scenario.html
(but that page is dated in 2003), "Exchange has no export facility so data
migration must be done through a client connection." How many users do you
have?

Maybe this is something: http://www.aid4mail.com/
