I suggest you simply base64 encode the values, and add a small
eximpasswd script to edit the file. some people may even stumble over
the solution of how to add client authentication by pressing exim TAB
TAB.
(BTW, colon in usernames is very unusual, since it's the delimiter
in /etc/passwd)
