I don't know what the cpanel configuration looks like so I can't help you
with the details. Have a look at the default configuration that comes with
Exim and see if you can add its relaying logic to your configuration.

According to that page you only need to configure a single host name as
your outgoing SMTP server. Use the hosts and hosts_override options on the
SMTP transport.
