Make sure you are using the latest service pack and patches. M$ have
repeatedly screwed up their SMTP implementation. Also note that Outlook
only does STARTTLS on port 25, so you need to run tls-on-connect on the
rescinded smtps port 465. Outlook probably still uses LOGIN authentication
rather than PLAIN. It's basically code that hasn't been updated since it
was written before the draft specifications matured.
