Hi Robert,

You have to places where autenticate:

a) Exim is a SMTP server, both to process mail with destination your
organization (not authenticated), and for your people when they want to
"relay" (send) email (authenticated) to the internet.

b) Courirer IMAP/POP have its own authentication scheme because is
needed when you want to get access to your mailbox

Seems to be easy, don't you think?
