This doesn't seem like a very high load. I have exim running on an
Apple G4 400, about 6 years old, over a T1. I go through periods of
5-10 connections per second with no problems whatsoever.
What kind of hardware are you running this server on? Are SA and
ClamAV running on the same machine? Where is the bottleneck for your
system?
