Hi
I have re-jigged the test box, and there is no reference to the domain
cornfield.org.uk. The box has the following A record pointing to it,
mail.cornfield.me.uk, and the following tests give
remote:
exim -bt simonw@???
simonw@???
router = dnslookup, transport = remote_smtp
host mail.cornfield.me.uk [80.229.196.163] MX=10
host smtp.telivo.com [195.82.107.155] MX=99
local:
exim -bt simonw@???
R: fname_sname_aliases for simonw@???
R: alias_lists for simonw@???
R: user_forwards for simonw@???
simonw@???
<-- simonw@???
router = dovecot_router, transport = dovecot_transport
So why, when I send an email from the remote server do I get the following
remote:(mail.cornfield.org.uk)
2005-03-07 01:19:13 1D86tt-000810-T2 <= root@??? U=root

I can't understand why the exim -bt tests suggest that the address is
resolvable, but actually sending the email fails. I have repeated the
tests from a third domain on a separate server and they are repeatable.
Thanks for the help so far,
Simon
