It's not supposed to run in the homedir of a user, but either way, you
can change the permissions of where you configured sa-exim to write
files to match those the exim daemon runs as.
Please, however, do use the sa-exim list. Other people here don't really
care :) and people most likely to help you are going to be there, not
here.
