Then I can only assume you are doing sender verification *with callouts*
(or your routers are screwed up which causes verification to fail). Exim
is not the only MTA which has had sender verification via DNS turned on
*by default* for years. Any sender whose DNS is screwed enough that
verification by DNS fails will not have much success in sending mail
*anywhere* and they usually therefore fix it pretty quickly.
I am just guessing here, and I could be wrong, but I doubt there are many
Exim users that don't use sender verification *at all* (not even just
checking that the domain exists and has some plausible mailhosts).
