Right, now that seems to tie in with something the web
hosts stated, that is was to do with the latest CPanel
modification.

Basically in an attempt to track down the "source" of
any spammers, they have added an option in CPanel
which somehow (you have mentioned that Exim calls a
perl script) adds the additional headers. Good idea to
track down where, on a server, the spam originated,
but all at the expense of security (let's send emails
out, informing the public of the login username to the
website).
