I'm still getting messages like:
2004-05-10 10:01:58 1BNE93-00040r-Md Failed to get write lock for
/var/spool/exim/db/wait-atg_smtp.lockfile: timed out
on my system under any kind of load.
I'm getting concerned because it seems to be a spiralling problem (the
higher the load, the more of these timeouts, the more timeouts, the load
goes up).
I've wiped the /var/spool/exim/db/ directory (after making sure all the
exim processes were stopped) and that didn't seem to help. Permissions
are fine, and the messages seem to be delivered okay, but I'm concerned.
Any ideas?
