reread it! He *did* put it in local_domains. Also:

I only know one standard accept/endpass block and that is the one for
local users: this is the one denying here.

You are right though that his problem is likely to be with the
virtual domains router, unless of course it is with the user simply
not being a virtual user or an alias at all.
