I'm unclear on your problem - is mailhost.domain.com your server? From
the way you describe it, it doesn't sound like it (using real server
names would make this easier to diagnose...)

If it's not your server, you have no control over the maximum message
size that will be accepted.

If it is your server, you're looking for the message_size_limit
directive.
