I don't think it's that bad yet. I think that some of the user names
have been re-allocated now, at least in York. Of course the whole
concept of initial + number is a very weak one. Better than first.last
but still not perfect at all.

I'm surprised that SA does not have a rule to check academic sites that
are rarely used to send spam. Then again...
