Thanks Tim, was able to find that, what was causing me the most problems
was me no knowing port 25 was being blocked at the firewall. This is what
I am using now:

our_route:
        driver = manualroute
        transport = remote_smtp
        route_list = xxx.ca x.x.x.x ; \
        xxxx.com x.x.x.x
