This is what I have in my exim.conf.

domainlist local_domains = \
  ${lookup mysql {SELECT domain FROM domains \
    WHERE type="local" and domain="${domain}" }}



# Never do _local_ delivery to these users.
never_users = root

# Name lookups
host_lookup = *
rfc1413_hosts = *
rfc1413_query_timeout = 30s


mysql> select * from domains ;

domain              type
